CUSTODIAN
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Objectives: To maintain the school facilities in optimal condition so that the school environment supports the best educational experiences possible for our students.
Minimum ยท High school diploma or the equivalent.
Qualifications: . Ability to order supplies and control inventory.
. Ability to organize work schedules and direct personnel.
. Skill in working with a variety of personnel.

Functions: perform essential functions.
. Coordinates with the superintendent and building principals the maintenance and custodial services of the school system.
. Inspects school properties on a regular basis and makes recommendations for the maintenance care, cleanliness and upkeep of the buildings.
. Oversees the maintenance/custodial program throughout the year.
. Maintains a current inventory of District supplies and equipment used for maintenance work for buildings and grounds.
. Purchase necessary maintenance/custodial supplies/services, and equipment using approved purchasing procedures.
. Recommends to the Superintendent a systematic long-range preventative maintenance program and its anticipated costs.
. Recommends to the Superintendent inservice training for maintenance and custodial staff.
. Oversees compliance with occupational health and safety codes and standards.
. Supervises outside contractors performing work for the district.
. Coordinates vacation schedules for departmental personnel.
. Provides principals and the Superintendent verbal input for the evaluation of custodial and maintenance personnel.
. Performs such other duties as they pertain to the maintenance/custodial services of the Osnaburg Local School District as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
